Christine Antles
A public relations and communications pro with more than seven years of experience serving clients across a wide spectrum of industries, Christine has employed her passion for writing in a variety of venues—most recently as a content writer at a large veterinary corporation. Her most recent writing experience includes crafting contributed articles, press releases, blogs and online content pertaining to pet health, public relations, real estate, economic development and travel. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Christine spent several years post-college learning the ropes of the public relations industry in New York City. Her favorite part, aside from the ubiquituous baked ziti, was the opportunity to work closely with top-tier media and cultivate her writing skills.
An avid pet lover with a 4-year-old adopted Lhasa Apso, Emerson, Christine enjoys reading and writing about pet ownership and pet healthcare. She also spares no detail when exploring her city, Portland, Oregon, going for a run, viewing live music, skiing downhill, playing her guitar, attending figure skating competitions and staying up-to-date on the latest personal finance and society-related news. As a proud Portlander, she looks forward to viewing and providing commentary on the new IFC television series, "Portlandia."
A graduate of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, with a degree in Communications and Spanish, Christine has a well-rounded educational background. When the opportunity arises, she loves to keep her Spanish skills current by engaging in conversation or reading some poetry by Pablo Neruda.
